Various other album tracks include a number with her long time friend 'Peter Gabriel'.
Bush started composing songs in her early teens ('The Man With The Child In Her Eyes' being the best known from that era) and had achieved great fame in the pop world before her 20th birthday. Much of her early work is very English which may account for its appeal to overseas audiences as well as the homegrown; Japan, for instance, a surprising lover of Shakespeare and many other English things was very enthusiastic over her music. Bush has been described as a perfectionistic which may be part of the reason why her albums take such a very long time to produce. That and a desire not to waste her life on the music industry and a preference for spirituality over materialism. Bush remains a private, peerless and enigmatic composer and performer.
Bush is a much under-released artist.
Not only in the sense of limited number of albums but also she has penned
many more songs that are either not available at all or are only available
from music 'sharing' services. Perhaps in this the year of her first album
for over a decade more of her work will also be released. A DVD release
of all her many pop videos and TV appearances would also be appreciated
by Kate fans around the globe.
